Fantasy's Maisie - Our 2002 Celebrity Sale Entry

Meet Fantasy's Maisie our entry in this year's Celebrity Alpaca Sale to be held April 13th in East Lansing, Michigan. This absolutely correct yearling is an eye catcher with her cute white face and hint of vicuna pattern on her chest. Her sire is Fantasy Farms' senior sire, silver Fantasy's Gremlin and her dam is the sweet Fantasy's Monique. Maisie and her dam are direct descendants of TEN PC G064, our favorite female alpaca imported into this country with the first alpacas in 1984. [Think "Ten" as in Bo Derek.] When we first saw Ten, we wanted her terribly, but she was just not for sale. Luckily all of the farm's crias were to be marketed, so we wrote a check on the spot for her darling fawn daughter then only a few weeks of age. ["Maya" was born prior to the event of blood typing in alpacas so we were never able to determine her sire. Our best guess is that he was PC G060, the herd's sole light fawn male, who died near the time of Maya's birth.]

Five months later we returned to pick up our recently weaned young Maya and another weanling female. Maya matured into a gorgeous golden fawn lady with wonderful fiber and vicuna markings. She naturally became a central figure in our breeding program. Her third daughter, sired by our original male El Rojo, was Maisie's dam Fantasy's Monique.  Monique carried her grand dam Ten's richer fawn color along with all of the other qualities we loved in in this female line. Maisie, herself, is the fifth of Monique's offspring all of which have also favored the color, quality and easy dispositions of her female line.

Maisie was born in September of 2000 and will be of breeding age this spring. Maisie is a young gal that you can enjoy today while dreaming of the wonderful offspring that she will produce. Her sales price will include the option of breeding her to the buyer's choice of any unrelated Fantasy Farms male.
